Americans Fighting in Russia

American Polar Bears in Russia provides a detailed description of what life is like for the men on just one of northern Russia’s battlefronts—the Railroad front.  The reader will get a detailed immersion into the soldiers’ lives from a ground-level point of view. Though these American soldiers are fighting the Bolsheviks, most of the time they are just trying to get enough to eat, and to survive an Arctic winter’s perilous hardships. But they are Americans, resilient, resourceful and optimistic, raised to deal with problems, and forever hopeful of returning to their families.

The Polar Bears

We will listen as these American soldiers in

Companies 'I' and 'M'  describe how they felt

and what they did, while being trapped

in a dangerous and confusing situation,

far from home,

and seemingly abandoned by their nation.
