Venner's Current Project

Copper City Princess follows Alice Shaw Kellner from the refinement of Boston to the blistering edge of the Arizona desert, where marriage to mining engineer Robert Kellner brings her into a world ruled by copper, dust, danger, and pride.

Expecting a husband, Alice finds instead a powerful house already governed by loyal servants, a town hardened by labor, and a mine that claims Robert’s attention with life-or-death urgency. As she struggles to understand the man she married and the unforgiving country that shaped him, Alice must decide whether she will remain a stranger in his world—or find the courage to make a place for herself within it.

This story is rich with frontier atmosphere, guarded tenderness, and the clash between old-world manners and rugged survival, Copper City Princess is a sweeping historical romance about love tested by distance, danger, and the secrets a house can keep.
